What does file extension .srt stand for? I know it's a subtitles file.?

you don't actually ever "open" any .srt file just play the movie and a good player like Vic player will open and play it. if u changed the file extension already, right click the file go to properties and where it says what opens it (txt or notepad) click "change" and open it to your choice I know this is an old post im only answering it for future searchers
