when you changed batteries on the key, how long did you have the battery out before you replaced a new one back in???

reason i ask, you have about 20sec to replace the battery before the memory erases itself. If this happened, you'll have to go to a dealership to reprogram the key to your car.

as for the button.... take something sharp enough to pop the buttons off. when the buttons are off, you can pull the entire thing out and see if any wiring are lose or anything isn't in place. Be careful though, there's lose parts in there and a spring. I did this to mine, all is fixed.

i do no longer lock the doors each and all of the time. And the only reason I do lock them is by the fact our canines run out whilst somebody in simple terms is provided in. i think of it relies upon the place you reside. Is it genuine that individuals are very paranoid and lock themselves of their residences? i do no longer know many Canadians that do. i'll circulate away the dwelling house for various hours at a time and circulate away the door unlocked. My mom and dad went on a trip for 2 weeks and left their back backyard patio door huge OPEN. no longer something got here approximately settle for their hardwood replaced into moist.

with out looking at the car it sounds like your general module has failed, it is in control of many things in the car from windows to door locks.
