how does Jagex (Runescape) detect auto boting?

Question

no im not going to auto bot
im too stupid to work it anyway lol xD
but im just curious how do they detect it?
is it only by another player reporting someone and thats it?
what if your like auto mining and droping like tin ore in the wilderness where no one is anymore, will you get caught?
and to anyone who has autoed, how were you caught? what happened to you?

Jagex has not and Will not tell how they detect bots. 


If you are an auto miner, mining in the wilderness, you will probably die before Jagex gets you. Reveants or skeletons will kill the bot.


Most people who auto are near other users to try to blend in. However when people don't talk, trade or even acknowledge that something is attacking them, people would report that user as a bot.


I know I have reported some users for macroing scam websites, or spamming using auto typers. 


If you are a bot just saying things, they will get muted/banned

if you are a bot, auto mining or something you will get a permanent ban


some crazy people who do get their permanent ban create more accounts, and in the end get an IP ban.

JAGeX has never released their method of bot detection to the public, but I assure you that it is efficient and does work. It only takes several hours of botting for the bot to be IP banned. 

Some known ways are through bot busting, when moderators get together to ban bots (now obselite) and through player made reports.

Who the f cares in case you lost a bronze dagger. besides there is not any way you need to win the lawsuit. Plus a lawsuit fee ALOT of money so it must be stupid in case you tried to sue
