First Congress would have to pass a law, which surely would be signed by Mr. Obama, to extend the amount of times a person could be President.

I figure, conservatively, to about 10 terms. Mr. Obama would need to increase the personal taxes to about 45% and the corporate taxes to 55%. He would have to sell the other half of our country. That would be to a well known country, sending all their citizens here to help us, to buy all our hotels, motels, and convenience stores. I am sure I am not the only one that has noticed this?

Let's see? Oh! Congress would have to pass another law that all citizens be required to vote for only Mr. Obama.

Congress would have to also pass a law making copper more valuable than gold so they could print more money and back it with copper.

I think we could see the light of day, those of us not in jail or dead, in about 36 more years.

Don't get me wrong, I am not against immigrants starting a new life and living the American Dream. I do wonder, and I guess I am the only one, if a certain country might be sending people over here, bank rolling them, to buy our country. But that's another story.

On a lighter note, If the entire country rallys and we all start to feel better, spend all the money we can, and don't save any, it might only take 30 years.

We have several problems that have to be corrected. There is this item called free trade. I want someone, with intellegence, to explain how we can trade unevenly with other countries, and not have serious problems.

Free trade means a country can produce items through sweat shops(been proven) and sell them over here for 1/4 of what we can make them for. We, as a country, wanting to buy cheap things(don't tell me we don't, can we all say Wal-Mart?), help propagate the problem.

If we can't produce things what do we do? We try to be a country of service. We go to Iran and work for Halliburton.

We are a country of some of the smartest idiots in the world. The political system we have was set up to continue in a vicious circle. We continually complain about all the stupid laws we have and then vote for a lawyer to make our laws. Anybody ever check to see how many laws are introduced every year? Sure we want and need laws but the people we vote for are suppose to run our country for our benefit and not just figure out new laws to make.

If a President is popular and we have had some, why, someone please tell me, do they not champion line item veto? Why can a president only serve two terms but a congressman can serve for life. The longer a person serves the more powerful he(or she) becomes.

We have hopes that Mr. Obama will turn things around.

We certainly hope he can but he is facing a stacked deck. We are trillions in debt, companies are going under, workers are being laid off, and we spend many multiple billions on aid to other countries.

For some reasons it seems that war gives a temporary reprieve so guess what? It seems ways present themselves for us to have to go to war. We spend trillions on a war that will result in what?

Ask yourself what will be the end result in the war in Iraq and the young men and women that have lost their lives. We hope that Iraq will be able to take over and provide for themselves. We helped them produce oil again and receive no gain. We are supporting the ruin in our country by spending million of our dollars a day to no apparent end.

However, to answer your question, and not be totally pessimistic, it will take a miracle. We are a country that can pull off miracles but not by living life with no concerns. Not by expecting things to get better with no help.

I do not see, without serious sacrifices, that we can make any progress in a very long time. Even with hard times, that are sure to come, and many sacrifices, it will take a long time.

We need to vote in people that will run our country to our benefit and if they don't then fire them.

Sorry for such a short answer but the problem is a little complicated.

It’s impossible to know. We have only a general idea of what his plans are, but it is certain the recovery is going to take a long time. I think we will see movement in about two years if, and this is a big “if,” politicians will work for the good of the country and not solely for their own benefit.

We don’t need to worry about tax cuts for business right now because few businesses are making money and will have little or no tax liabilities.

The stimulus will help, if it’s big enough, and if fraud can be permitted. When there is nearly a trillion dollars allocated to a project, there are sure to be many people looking to benefit and they will find ways to skim some of that money.

The short-term key is to get people working so they will have enough confidence to spend some of what they earn. To do this, we have to have inspired leadership that can convince people that things are and will be getting better. That requires that government and industry leaders tell us specifically what they are going to, not talk in generalities. Businesses are only going to hire if they need more people and they will only need more people if those people are spending much of which they earn.

We have a catch 22 here. People will only spend if they feel secure in their jobs and they will only feel secure in their jobs if they, and others, are spending.

Depends, during the campaign he was fooling people it would happen quickly after he got in office. Since he has been elected he is now saying it might not be as soon as he thought ,maybe not a year or two and maybe not even in his first term. He also said things were probaly going to get worse before they got better. But I will say this if things don't get better in his first four years, there want be a second term. I think America is fed up with lies. I think with his cabinet selections he is already gearing up for the 2012 election with his selections. My advice is to hire qualified people and not just people to get you votes in 2012.

That is too broad a question to answer. A president can have immediate effect on policies by issuing executive orders, but what immediate result does this cause? A president can't effect the budget very quickly at all.

Well...if I had more faith in the American people's ability to comprehend the media campaign to blame these events on Bush instead of the Democratic Congress...I would say soon.

However, questions like this one make me wonder if we will ever recover.

i do no longer consider Leo M. somebody been spending 2 plenty time of two beautiful little women existence in such an hate filled church.. As for as your image, that precisely what he ought to apply. And for one time in his campaign, he could be telling his supporters the reality.

Do you keep up with current affairs? Obama is keeping a lot of President Bush's policies in effect. Seems after Obama is finding out the truth, he is "changing" his mind about a lot of things.

God Bless America and Her People!

God Bless Our Brave Troops & Their Families!

    United We Stand,

    Divided We Fall.
