Oven is broke - need good stove-top/microwave recipes?
My oven is broke, so I am down to cooking on the stove top or microwave. Does anyone have any good recipes they are willing to share? (links are helpful too) We are not a picky family - we like all kinds of meals (fish, beef, chicken, pork, etc.) and ethnic meals too. Thanks!!

This soup is delicious. Just pair it with a crusty bread and you have a wonderful dinner.

You could also make your family's favorite chili recipe. Or, cook up some meat and add taco seasoning to make tacos/burritos.
Black beans and rice is delicious. I recommend adding mango.

This risotto is delicious:

In addition, you could do breakfast for dinner and do omelets or eggs and pancakes or whatever your family likes.
Spaghetti would be a great meal or toss pasta with favorite veggies and cheese for an easy stove top meal.

I like to make this and my husband loves it. Real Easy: This is my own version of pepper steak You will need: 1 sirloin steak (or round steak) trimmed and sliced in long bite size pieces. I prefer sirloin (More Tender) 1 Onion - halved and sliced 2 Green Bell Peppers or 1 Large pepper - seeded and sliced in long strips soy sauce celery seed 1-2 cans Campbell's beef consomme or beef broth cornstarch white rice - ( I use the Instant Rice) olive oil black pepper garlic powder In a large skillet put enough olive oil just to cover the bottom of your pan and put on medium heat. Place your meat strips, sprinkle with a little black pepper and garlic powder for your tastes and stir until no more red in the meat. The put in your 1-2 cans beef consomme. ( I like to use two because I like a lot of broth on mine). Add about 4-5 tbs soy sauce and bring to a boil. Lower the heat to medium low cover and let simmer for about 15 - 20 minutes. While the meat is simmering, cook your riceaccordingg to the directions on the box. I like to use two cups water with two cups instant rice. You can also use one and one if you want less rice. After 15 - 20 minutes, remove lid and put in the onions, peppers, and 1-2tbsl of celery seeds. Stir around. Return heat to medium and cover. Keep stirring until peppers are cooked to your desire and the onion is translucent. You can add a little cornstarch and water if you want your juice a little thickened or you can leave it the way it is. Serve this over your rice. Add a little more soy sauce to your taste if wanted.
