Football programmes best way to sell?

I have a collection of Arsenal Home and away, West Ham home and away, (complete seasons) England and Cup Final programmes from the 40's to the 80's. Would the best way to sell them be

1. Taking them to a dealer

2. Selling them on E Bay

3. Auction

4. Any other ideas

Anyone done this and how did it go...

if you want to get the most money go to an auction, or try sell it through the club, they could take the merchandise and sell it themselves for you (die hard fans will buy them for big bucks), as long as they are in good condition.

Best prices can be obtained at a proper specialist football programme auction. Many are held throughout the country on a regular basis, and those attending are collectors and dealers.

eBay is my 2nd choice, but as they only have a limited time on the site you do not always get the highest prices for them, and I have found a lot lately that many eBayers are looking for something for nothing. You also have the hassle of uploading details and then posting the items, whereas with a specialist auction its one bundle to post and they do all the advertising/listing work for you.
