Why does it seem like everyone hates my country ?

I don't know. It's sad when people hate a whole country when they've never been there, and don't know what the people are really like.

Actually, country is 99% of what I listen to. They must be doing something right because country is the only genre of music which has grown (in terms of number of radio stations playing it) over the last five years. Musically, it's great because the music comes entirely from instruments, not artificial noisemakers. And lyrically, it's about real life without preaching violence, promiscuity, or racism. There have never been any cases of somebody going on a killing spree or something like that after listening to a George Strait or Rascal Flatts CD (though rap, heavy metal, and punk rock seem to have had that effect on some people).

I don't hate Iran, simply am amazed at how narrow minded the leaders are and the population allows. Iran is a Third World country. I would think they would build a strong inner structure of a country like sanitary and water systems instead of devoting all their efforts to vowing to destroy non-Muslims.

You can pretty much lay the blame on the actions or non actions of Jimmy Carter. He let the situation get completely out of hand. The Mullahs took over and escalated everything into the mess we have now.

And to think the US and Iran used to be friends.

The roots of the animosity would be the 79-80 occupation of our embassy. Also I think the thought of a fundamental Islamist country with nuclear weapons makes people scared. I personally have great respect for Persian culture. Not to mention really hot chicks.
