Seriously though it depends on your job. You could be doing anything from Admin to Infantry.

You will likely be a platoon commander, a forward observer team chief, a tank platoon commander, or some other small unit commander (up to about 40 people). It all depends on what branch (as we call it in the Army) you are assigned too.

He does what those who rank above him tell him to do and he tells those who rank below him what to do.If he is smart he takes the advice of senior nco's who he outranks. It's called following the chain of command and is how the military works.
