actually there was a tour of the white house on tv last night and the main central part of the rug always has the eagle on it. according to mrs. bush there a variety of rugs available for the president to choose from mostly for changes in decorating . besides the eagle it seems that there are arrows or spear or Branch reaching out in different angles from the middle or the eagle to all points on the rug. maybe that means that we will help out any country that wants our help

The outer color may change, but the center of the oval office rug has the presidential seal.
