does anyone think first round JR Giddens will contribute anything to the Celtics at all this season?

The Celitcs like his potential and he's supposed to back up Ray Allen. I don't think Doc trusts him enough to be on the bench, Doc still doesn't put Pruitt into the bench unless someone is injured or there is a blowout. Unless Walker and Tony Allen get injured, Giddens will be back in the DLeague.

He wasnt going or drafted to contribute he was a third string first rounder for the celts., it always sucks to get drafted to a champion, they never really needed him in the first place, at the time they didnt know if cassel and posey would stay or go. and rondo has been surprisingly producing. Once celts get stephon, expect celts to do this to alot of rookies (look at bill walker) Celts dont run a farm development system anymore (telfair, green, jefferson) they try to fill in with veterans. (like spurs, dallas...etc) Im just glad they didnt draft anyone noteable like an O.J. or a love cuz celtics wouldnt give them the time of day right now, and giddens is looking more like a non- athletic tony allen, what happened to his jumper he had in college????.........Celts should have went after duhon, That would have been a great fit with him on the bench but if they get marbury...even better.
