How could the American Revolution have been prevented by Britain?

List as many details as you are able to.

    It could have been prevented if Britain allowed the American colonies to prosper freely with no taxation.

    Look at Canada and Australia for examples.

    A lot of British policies towards other colonies changed with the American Colonies succeeded from the British Empire

    They could have also used force, like in India, but I don't think it would prevent the revolution.

    Your other answers have been good. I wanted just to add that the British Parliament could have cut the legs out from under the revolutionaries simply by granting them representation without the House of Commons. The colonial population was so small, and had no lords to serve in the upper house, that their voices would have made precisely zero difference in the end. But by including them, the British could have completely destroyed the most universal and pervasive of all arguments for revolt.

    By listening to Prime Minister William Pitt the Elder. He had proposed Parliament concede on no taxation without representation, independent judges, trial by jury, and the recognition of the American Continental Congress, but was rejected.
