Do the jobs in "Lie to Me" actually exist?

I just saw an episode of "Lie to Me", and I think I might like to do that! Is it an actual job, and where can I learn the stuff that they know? I'm still in highschool right now, but are there online classes I can take or books I can read?

For those who don't know, "Lie to Me" is about a private firm that specializes in lies and body language. They solve crime and private jobs by analyzing body language.

I just saw that show tonight too, I loved it! And yes, there are Body Language Specialists out there. To prepare yourself for basic ways to read body language, I suggest you check out the book, "The Definitive Book of Body Language" by Allan and Barbara Pease. It has a lot of information about how to read body language and tell what other people are thinking.

It's primarily people pulling statements out of hat without doing their "homework". Of course there's more historical evidence that George Washington existed - He lived only a little over two hundred years ago, which is fairly recent by historical standards. We still have letters written by him, military orders signed by him, etc. He's still listed as the highest ranking U.S. officer ever by the United States Army. Jesus is a little harder to come up with historical evidence for, and that's understandable - he lived about two thousand years ago, most people back then didn't read or write so most of this stuff was passed on by word of mouth long before it was written down. Still, there is enough to satisfy me. The way I see it, something had to have happened back then in that time and place for such a movement to take hold and literally conquer most of the world by faith. I don't think it could have happened on the back of a supposedly made-up personage. Most of the original Apostles died as martyrs for their faith and belief, as did a lot of the next generation of Christians. And yes, not only is lying a sin, but you wouldn't catch George Washington doing it ;-)

I am interested in this as well. I am also trying to find out more information on this subject. It looks like a very intriguing field to work in.

There are organizations who study such, and those jobs do exist, however they take years of study to be able to properly do those jobs.
