Men: When a man says "make love" what exactly does that mean. I know it's sex ?
But what exactly does he mean by saying "make love and not sex". Do you think he's in love?

The physical act is the same. The emotional act is what is different.
Sex is a way of releasing an urgent need of the body, satisfying but not much more.
Making love is an emotional experience that can bond two people together spiritually as well as physically. This is something I would imagine has to be discovered for oneself.

Same thing! If he just comes out and says sex, he might not get it. But make love is more romantic, so it seals the deal!

Not necessarily. I just think he means that you should not have sex unless you are in love....but then again, some guys will just say that to get you into bed.

Not necessarily, but it does show that he appreciates that there is a difference between the two things.

'Make love' - before sex
as in: Make love to me my beautiful angel.
'sex' - after the act.
as in: Oh God, are you still here? I can't believe I just had to buy you a pizza to have sex with me.

It's more than a "wham bam - thank you ma'm"
He means he will actually worry about you as well.
Sounds good to me!
