Am I eligible to be covered under my father's Tricare insurance?
Until recently, when I turned 21, I've been covered under my father's Tricare Prime insurance, which he receives as part of his retirement. If in school, dependents will be covered up until the age of 23, but coverage is cancelled at 21 if the dependent is -not- in school.
It just so happened that I took a year off from school this past year, during which I also turned 21, resulting in cancellation of my insurance.
I am returning to school this spring, and am wondering if it is possible to return to my father's insurance plan, or if I'm out of luck.

You would need to go with him to get a new dependent ID card which will also re-enroll you in DEERS. Without that, TRICARE will not cover you. He needs to check to see what school enrollment documentation is needed to get the ID card.

Why are you paying out of pocket? in case you have moved, you may learn with TRICARE to make certain if top remains obtainable at your new area. top isn't obtainable in all places. whether that's obtainable and additionally you want to proceed to be in it, you may could %. a clean TRICARE PCP. If that's not obtainable, then you definately're decrease back to prevalent TRICARE. if so, you may locate vendors who're "in community" for prevalent TRICARE (TRICARE better vendors). the fee distinction in being "in community" and going out of community is significant.
