It all depends on where you live, Christianity for example. In some areas they will say being gay is the devil's way of taking control over your mind or whatever ****** up thing they think about that. In other areas they will be completely fine and supportive of homosexuality.

I've actually read somewhere that if you really analyze the Bible, you will find that there is more evidence of it saying to support being gay than there is to condemn gay people.

I think it's the story of John and David, their love can be percieved as being a gay relationship. I read it in this book for gay teens that somebody gave me. Also the Bible was not written by Jesus himself, it was written by people who listened to him talk, they could add whatever they wanted to it, to make the world conform to the way they wanted it to.

But most religions are against it. I think the Christian groups in Vancouver are against it, so there's not enough other gay people out here.:(

I'm involved with a religion that doesn't care if you're gay, straight, transgendered, bi, an unknown monster, an alien, or even an animal.

It's called Self Realization Fellowship (SRF). They do NOT follow the bible, they follow a religious leader called Paramahansa Yogananda, or Guru.

There is so many tid-bits of SRF that I would probably type my fingers off, but SRF is very VERY accepting of anyone and everyone. They focus more on peace and a relationship with God, not as "I am a sinner, now I must repent." No, we focus more on harmony and a balance within ourselves. SRF has, instead of regular prayer, meditation, which is a form or prayer. We focus on breathing techniques and a bunch more great features.

Here's a link for your exploration!

We aren't the pushy people who say "you've sinned, now join us" No. You must join at your own reason. Not us making you. We don't knock on doors, we don't believe in sin, etc. We believe in Karma. What goes around comes around.

    -Peace!

Monotheistic religions are mostly anti gay.

However, the Unitarian and Episcopalian churches aren't.

Paganism is Ok with it, doesen't hurt anyone, another form of love, which is a gift. Some Pagans (like me) even consider those who are bisexual blessed by the Goddess.

Well- it doesn't depends so much on the religion as the people. I'm Jewish and it is said that Jews are against homosexuality. Not all true- I'm bi myself and I know a few people that are "out" gays. Then again my temple is reformed, not orthodox.

none, no religion is against gay just a couple of jack asses took all the books and ****** them up because it turns out there son is catching. None hate us

  • Buddha taught that homosexual relations violated the precept of sexual misconduct. The Dalai Lama has stated that while Buddhism teaches against homosexuality, that it should be taken in context with modern times, and that people can engage in homosexual relations and relationships without violating the precept of sexual misconduct.

All religions are anti-gay. All the more reason for GLBTs to stay away from them.

All religious leaders are homophobic publicly.

Hypocritical as well, as many of them are closet bi or gays.
