What is Your Favorite Thing About Each of the Prefectures You've Visited?

Your favorite thing can obviously be an attraction, but feel free to also choose something else unique to that prefecture, like a festival, food, etc. if those are your favorite things. Try to name one thing for ALL of the prefectures you've been to.

That will be a long list, but I'll try. BTW I'm vegetarian, so I'm little bit restricted about food

    Akita- watching the Namahage festival

Iwate- Visiting Toono village (but it is very hard to reach it). The winter festival at Koiwai Farm

Myagi- Of course, Matsushima. I loved feeding the seaguls from the boat. They aren't afraid of people and take snacks almost from your hand.

Yamagata: The nature, Yamadera and that shaky train which runs through the mountains. It gives you the same taste for danger as riding a roller coaster.I wonder how they still keep this thing running.

Niigata- The gold mines at Sado

Tochigi- Strawberry cheesecake with Tochigi strawberries. Fantastic! Different from any cheesecake I've ever tried!

Gunma- the Daruma shrine and the little glass Daruma (Ihope they still sell them- very cute!)

Saitama- The Korean temple in Komagawa

Kanagawa- the snake-shaped rings they give as Omamori. Unfortunately, I lost mine. I forgot it in the library and never saw it again.

Nagano- the little horses made of straw.

    Yamanashi- the chocolate with wine.

Shizuoka- The cruise on Hamanako on sunny day in the summer.

    Aichi- oni-manju(my favorite Japanese sweet!)

Gifu- the houses at Shirakawa-go , gohei-mochi with sweet miso.

Fukui- the pottery(Echizen-yaki). I'm in love with it!

    Kanazawa- The Showa-style tourist bus.

    Mie-I didn't like Mie much

Nara-there is so much culture and nature there, that I almost forgot about anything else. But siite ieba,I like the accesories made of deer horn.

Kyoto- The statue of Tetsuwan Atomu in front of Kyoto station.Uji tea flavored ice cream. Kiyomizu -yaki

    Osaka- Takoyaki forever!!!

Kobe- in the Italian house, in the basement, there's one of the biggest diamonds in the world. I believe it is only a replica exposed, but nonetheless I like it. Yes, and the chocolate glazed coffee beans-love them too.

Wakayama- when you pass through Arida, some of the farmers leave oranges outside and sell them very cheap-like one bag for 100 yen . You leave the money and take your oranges. Interesting trade...

    Okayama- kibi-dango, of course!Also Bizen-yaki

Kagawa- the cocolate with olive flavour. It is unique

Ehime- There are guys, who walk the streets around the castle and the spa dressed as characters from "Botchan"

    Hiroshima- Momiji-manju witch cheese.

Shimane- The traditional peasantry dance performed with something like a basket.

    Tottori- ride on a camel.

    MIyazaki- cheese manju

    Kagoshima- the huge round daikon.

Nagasaki- Babera aisu( an old woman who scoops ice with spatula) I met such woman near the station. The oficial name of the product is, however, "mukashinagara-no -aisu)

Oita-it is mostly the spas there, but so not Japanese-like was the fact that it was very dirty there. Everywhere. Sorry, bad impression.

Fukuoka- The museum of Star Wars at Space world. Great for SW fans.

    Okinawa- Saataa and Rykyu glass
