Opinions on photo editing programs, please?
I've been using Adobe PhotoDeluxe 2.0 for years and really love it, but sometimes it hangs up when I open other programs on my computer. I've tried running it in different modes (Win 98, etc.) but it's still hanging.
I'm sure there are new and wonderful programs out there that are comparable to PhotoDeluxe that don't cost a fortune. I'd love to hear some opinions on these from folks who use them.
Thanks!

There are no actual "Best" in my honest opinion. But I do have a near "Best" collection of photo-editing programs. I used most of them and stuck with only 2, Corel and Adobe Photoshop, they both are very good in their own ways, what one lacks, is made up by the other.

Well it's not especially cheap but it's a really amazing program: Adobe Lightroom. I highly recommend it if you can spend the money. I've been using it for years and I am very happy with it. Sometimes spending a little more is the way to go when you want something really good. If you can afford $299 most certainly go for it.

Try Photoshop Elements, about $99 I think. NO Photoshop is not free - there may be a 30 day trial but after that, it's pay up. Probably way more than you need anyway.
