What are some good books for a sophomore in high school?

Something interesting and actually keep me reading.

I'm into mystery/thriller/fiction.

I agree with many of the books mentioned above me, especially "Into the Wild," by John Krakauer! I've read my fair share of books (being an English major in college), and one of my all-time favorites is "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini. Don't let the synopsis fool you because trust me, I didn't think it sounded all that great either. But I LOVED it, and I think you would too!

And also, since you're in high school, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" might be of interest to you. The book takes place through the perspective of a high school student. It takes readers through the hustle and bustle, ups and downs, and pros and cons of high school life, and it is very easy to identify with the protagonist as we journey along with him while he learns about the meaning of life. I hope this helps!

  • definitely read the da vinci code if you want dan brown books.

you could also try john grisham books (the rainmaker, the firm and the partner are good)

another REALLY good book is Into the Wild by Jon Krakeour (sp?) but its not really mystery, thriller, or fiction.

also read "I am the Messenger" by Markus Zusak. it's SO good.
