New skates - wrong laces?

I am just trying to get back into skating, haven't been for ages.

I just got a pair of CCM Super Tacks 652p's and I tried lacing them up today. I found that when I laced them, the laces were too short to tie properly. Am I just not tying them properly? Is this normal for some skates? Just buy new laces?

    i just bought new skates too and its the same thing for mine. but that's normal. you just have to wear them around the house for a while to break them in. then your laces will begin to tie higher up and get "longer".

    lace them like tennis shoes

    return them and get new ones: it's very import to have well laced skates

    go back to the shop where you bought them and ask for the right laces!!
