List it in your local newspaper for starters.
1-Have a For Sale sign made professionally and hang it in front. Be sure to have By Appointment Only printed on the sign in large letters along with the phone number.
2-Buy a throw-a-way phone to use only for the sale of the house.
3-Set days for your appointments along with the hours. Do not answer the phone, let them leave messages with a number for you to call back. This gives you their number and you make the appointment at YOUR convenience.
4-Write down all the information and keep it for your records. It's also a safety factor as you really do not know who is calling or coming to your home. Many thieves pretend to be buyers and then come back and rob you.

That's such a bad idea. THe market already sucks, I wouldn't make it even more difficult to sell by not having a professional do it for you.
