Do girls ever do this?

Yes I have asked a guy out. But I cheat a bit. I invite him along to something that I know his friends or my friends are going to. Movies, bars or an event that is coming up. Rock concerts are good to ask a guy out to. You pick a group that you know he's into & it's hard for him to resist. When you ask him to an outing where you know your friends are at they can get to know him & let you know what they think of him. It's a bit sneaky but effective. I've had pretty good results.

No, it's definitely not a myth. Some of us do indeed, dare to be bold and be the the first to approach the guy, while most of us feel like it's only right for the GUY to approach us because that's the "Traditional" way of doing things. A lot of chicks I know feel that approaching the guy first could be a bit too straight forward. The fear of being rejected also plays a role. Girls feel like guys handle rejection a lot better than we'd be able to.

No it's not a myth. Girls do ask out guys, not as much as guys asking the girls but it does happen.

oh lil miss, you have so much to learn. how does it look desperate? i think it would be awesome if a girl asked me out, but it has never happened. i think in traditional standards it was always felt to be wrong for a girl to ask a man out but it's 2009 now and it's perfectly fine for a woman to step up and let a man know that shes interested in him. plus it makes the guy feel great, after all we never have any idea what you women are thinking half the time.

Yes girls actually do ask guys out but its traditionally "supposed" to be the guys role so some girls are a bit hesitant to in fear the guy doesn't like them because he hasn't asked them yet. Lol, life is complex.

yes it happens but most of the time girls are too shy to go up to a guy to ask him out so that would be why you haven't seen it happen before

Well I can give you the best answer from persoanl experience, yes, girls do ask guys out (I've asked a guy out myself] and I am a girl. So there. Hope the advise helps.
