Does a high school placement test determine what classes you'll be taking in high school?
For example, if you take the test, and do bad in math, then will you not be in geometry? Or if you're bad in the writing section will you not be in AP Writing?
Thanks!

Usually placement tests are used by the guidance department to help you make wise choices when signing up for classes. So, yes, if you do poorly on the math section, you probably won't be in geometry. But usually that is a good thing! Starting high school is a big change from grade or middle school - mostly in the amount of homework that you have to do. If you are struggling in one or more of your classes, you'll fall behind quickly, and stay behind all year long.
I would strongly suggest taking the suggestions of your guidance counselor. The guidance department has worked with many kids your age, and know what the best choices will be for you, based on the results of your placement test.
Good luck next year!!!

no , my brother just took it... even though he didnt do bad in math, you have to take a test to see if you can be in honors or no
(my brother got a perfect score on his whole test)
