Help Stopping Guitar String Friction Noise?

When i play my electric guitar, and slide my fingers from one chord to a new chord, it often makes a loud noise (some kind of noise from my fingers rubbing against the strings). At first i didn't mind it, but now its so loud and irritating, it's ruining the sound of some of the songs i play. Is there a way to stop/eliminate finger friction and the noise that goes with it?

Thanks

Coated strings, ie Elixiris or whatnot, will help to a certain degree with this, but the best way is to use a string lubricant like Guitar Honey or GHS Fast fret. Helps the fingers slide better, and really cuts down on the whole friction noise thing.

    Good luck!

that's normal if you play classical or acoustic guitar. I play rhythm so doesn't happen to me. Listen to Eric Clapton playing Acoustic guitar...... you can hear the noise of the slide. It's nothing, just the way it is. Maybe try using a very small bit of powder on the tips of your fingers. But make sure you wipe your strings afterwards.
