All mystics are not Prophets but all prophets are for sure mystics. Mystics are just people who have been blessed due to their deeds. Any one can be a mystic or achieve that status and beyond due to their good deeds.
If you want to be one or think you might be one, then I would suggest you test dreams. God guides us that way. Pray, see a dream(or wait till you see a dream), replace your situation within your dream(for example electric bulb for sun/moon and v.v.) and you will know your answers.

They are the same. The Bible talks of mystics/psychics all of the time. They were called prophets, and we all posses thoes gifts/skills..1 Cor: 12
