Why do most banks take 2 days to deposit your money into your account?

Bank of America only takes one day.

Anyone knows the reason(s)?

they have to verify the information from the amount you deposited with the bank that issued the check. usually cash only takes a day because they don't have to check to make sure the money is there.

for example, if you get a check issued from bank #1 in omaha nebraska, and you deposit your check at bank #2 in seattle washington, you deposit it, and then bank #2 contacts bank #1 to verify that the check is legit, the account exists with bank #1 and the amount of the check is in there, once all of that clears, then bank #2 goes abck and puts the funds in your account, and then usually they are available the next day, hecnce the two day period.

most likely if you are only having one day to wait with bank of america and everyone else is two days, then the bank it is coming from and going to is bank of america, so they can instantly verify the accounts and funds, without having to do a verification with another bank, so you are only waiting for the next day for the funds to be available to you.
