How are people so positive that Obama can change the United States?

I would just like to know opinions on this because I just don't think he is going to do all of what he says. Please do not make this a Bush thing, concentrate on what is ahead not in the past.

I'm very positive he will make change. Masses of people supported him and voted him in. And after everything you read below . . . THEY'RE STILL SUPPORTING HIM. He will absolutely, definitely, undeniably, unquestionably change things.

It's just not gonna be for the better.

Obama chose to pick his worst and most irrational critic during his campaign as his right hand person. The infamous now Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton.

Obama didn't even bat an eye when his pick for Treasury Secretary, Tim Geithner, was caught on tax evasion. Wouldn't that that be slightly job related . . . maybe just a little bit?

Obama picked William Lynn, the former vice president and lobbyist for THE largest defense contractor (Raytheon) as the Deputy Secretary of Defense. Ummm, conflict of interest?

Obama says he wants to patrol the private citizens of America with a special equipped military division. Here's his speech http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=obama%20civi...

I think he can change the US for the positive because of the amount of negative change Bush was able to "accomplish" in just 8 years. Bush destroyed the country; I believe, with competence, Obama can restore it.

You cannot ignore Bush. He will be a major negative for the US for decades. Correcting his errors will be difficult. We also have a committed core of uber social conservatives intent on restoring the hate and incompetence of his administration. We must continue to move forward. What is ahead is fixing the mess.

Basically, desperation. Many people didn't like Bush's style, his false belief that actually winning the election in 2004 gave him "political capital" to act as conservatively as he wants to be. To liberals, the Bush presidency was a very dark time. People are so positive about Obama, not necessarily because Obama is that great, but compared to Bush, he looks very great.

I know you said not to make this a Bush thing, but I believe Bush is a big reason why people put so much hope in Obama.

Obama started out trying to show the world he knows what he is doing.

In the long run he just shot down everything that was started in the

last administration and is trying to end a war that he can't end without

    looking foolish to the world.

I think we should just cut our loses in Iraq and let the big shots

politicians in Iraq run their country and after so many years if it fails

it is just the Iraq failure as World War II only lasted five years!

As far as Al Qaedia and going after them in Pakistan or Afghanistan

I would withdraw from there too and just build up our own borders

security and stop this nonsense with the illegal immigrants

You either are legal or you get the Heck out of the US as you are

    breaking the law~

Bail Out and rescue plans have to stop ~ASAP~ as we have to borrow

the money for these companies who have poorly managed their own

businesses. The US has to be run like a Business~

Many people are so positive that Obama can change the United States because he IS a change and he believes that with the support of the american people who have elected him into office, positive changes are ahead.

I believe that Obama will make positive changes to the United States just by listening to him speak at the debates. He is a very intelligent man that is not afraid to listen to other ideas to come up with a good fair solution to a problem. I think that he is trying to do the best he can do.

In physics they claim every action has an equal and opposite reaction

Bush was so God awful people are eager for a change from his governing

Also Obama represents great hope for a lot of people

I didn't see your Bush comment at first but to ignore Bush is to be ignorant

There is hope that the folks in Washington will work together to solve some of our many problems. Obama can not do it alone, he needs for Republicans and Democrats to work together. We need to stop the silly game of one party vs the other. These are an American problems, not a republican or democrat problem. Not a conservative vs liberal problem. That is the hope of the Obama administration. There will be mistakes and there will be setbacks, but only by working as ONE team can anything be accomplished.

Deeper debt.I study a piece of writing that via the time Obama leaves place of work, this counties nationwide debt would be 4.5 circumstances greater advantageous than what George Bush left place of work with. he's spending funds like mad and we can't conceal any of it.this is going to come to a time whilst distant places banks will provide up lending us funds and then all hell will wreck unfastened.you notice that there is beginning as much as take place that the government is beginning as much as take administration of the banks.whilst we don't get to any extent further distant places funds to run the government, they are going to close the banks down and take your funds to fill this is wallet. This "community organizer" needs to make the "superb sacrifice" for this u . s . a .;in case you capture my flow.
