Are the people (models) that tell us how good a product is, telling lies if they don't use the same product themselves on a regular basis?

I think the people on the adverts have of actually tried the product at some point. For a clearer for a specific advert then watch out for the small print at the bottom of the adverts which normally gives away details like that.
