Pink Floyd- 2 guys names (Pink Anderson, Floyd Council

Led Zeppelin- Keith Moon predicted the band would go down like a lead zeppelin(or balloon... wither one) and they took the a out so.. and I quote "thick Americans wouldnt pronounce it Leed Zeppelin"

+44- the international dialing code for Engand,,, where he got the name

Linkin Park- the band paid homage to Lincoln Park in Santa Monica

    1.Pink Anderson and Floyd Council

    2. Kieth Moon of The Who suggested “lead zeppelin” changed to led on purpose so people wouldn’t think lead(er)

    3. the international dialing code of the United Kingdom

    4. started off as Xero, changed for legal reasons, lincolnpark.com was already taken so they purposely misspelled it

    5. suggested by Joey Kramer, after considering The Hookers and Spike Jones

    6. because of their deliciously sweet melodies? haha

Pink floyd - I think it was named after two people.

Led zeppelin - Paradox, someone said it to them when they had a different name, and the name they had was already taken, so they changed it to "lead zeppelin".

They took the 'a' out so people wouldn't pronounce it "leed zeppelin"

    Source(s): Don't know the others.
