As you probably know, dealing with XP install problems can be a delicate affair. You can install XP on a secondary hard drive if you choose. Just make sure that you change the boot order via your BIOS so that when the computer is powered up it will load XP from the new, secondary hard drive first.

Your best bet is to temporary disconnect the current drive that has XP installed on it and install XP on a newly connected secondary drive using the XP install CD's. After install is complete, make sure that XP is recognizing all your hardware and is running okay. Power down the machine and reconnect the original hard drive (again make sure that you do NOT boot from this drive). XP should then recognize the old drive as the new secondary (or slave) drive.

You can call Geek Squad at Best Buy which will run you $300. Or you could call a local computer service which will likely run you $100 or so. Simply explain to them what you got going on and they will likely charge you $40-$50 per hour to correct it.

BTW, if that is you in your profile picture...which I'm assuming that it is, then you are gorgeous.

If you need any additional help, just add it to your original post and I'll be glad to assist.
