Rose Lovella Lynn, what do you think of this name for a girl?

Since Rose Lovella Joy was "too much" what do you think of What do you think of the name Rose Lovella Lynn for a little girl?

Rose is my absolute favorite girl's name and I am dead set on using is for my first daughter. I love that it is simple, gorgeous, and underused as a first name, since so many people throw it away to the middle name spot. My SO also loves Rose as a first name for a girl. Which made me extremely happy when I heard that.

Lovella (luv ELL ah) is an English name meaning "wolf". My SO loves loves wolves, and I myself have came to love them because of him. I think it is quite fitting, since the first time we met I took him to an animal park to see a wolf. I also adore the fact that it has the word 'love' in the name itself. And finally, my SO is part English and has a very English surname.

Lynn is for my mother, Joy Lynn. I just hope it does not piss off SO's mother, Joyce. I really do not like that it is "filler" also.

Update:

SO = Significant Other. =)

I am just worried one grandmother will feel hurt and left out if I include one and not the other. My maternal grandmother was very jealous of my paternal grandmother when it came to me. From what I have gathered, they called my paternal grandmother first when they found out they were pregnant. So then my maternal grandmother raced to the hospital to see me first when I was born.

Update 2:

Thank Kate. I was ignoring him / her and reported. If you could do the same, that would be lovely.

People would, as you said, very rarely hear the full name. I only have one middle name and have written it perhaps a handful of times. I went years with out writing it until late last year when I put in my passport application.

If you like Rose Lovella Joy then go with it, it's going to be your child. If your SO [Sorry, don't know what the stands for] likes the name as well, then use it! I think it's a lovely name. I said the Joy mighttt be a little too much but it's still lovely either way.

Rose Lovella Lynn is pretty as well, but you will not be as happy with it.

Ah, thank you for the explanation! =D

Go with Rose Lovella Joy. It's a beautiful, lovely name. It's very elegant. Also, how many people are going to be saying her full name all the time? So, it's really not going to be a problem. Don't listen to "Dieing on the inside x". A) It's a lovely name, and B) Is everyone going to know her middle names? No C) It's a beautiful name!

Rose Lovella Lynn is pretty as well, but Rose Lovella Joy is better because it will honor both grandmothers. =]

If other people don't like it, then tough lol. It's your and your SO's decision.

I'm not huge on the middle name Lynn but it flows better with the name as a whole than Joy. Personally I don't feel Rose Lovella Joy would be too much, I find it adorable actually, I just think if you're going for overall appeal it's more fluid with Lynn.

I like the idea of Lovella as a name, I don't feel it's over the top like the virtue name "Love" there's something about it that almost has a literary feel to it. I think all in all it's very sophisticated, and I'd go with Rose as a first name too, it's so classy and elegant. (My cousin's name is Rose Magdalena)

I think that Rose Lovella Lynn is a beautiful name for a girl. Joy is also very pretty, but might be pushing the "darling daughter" aspect a little too much. :)

I don't think one's extra curricular activities need to be involved in naming your child...The wolf name, Lovella, sounds " trailer park halloween party" to me...

Your mother's name is Joy Lynn?

    Why not Rose Jocelynn?

I think Rose Lovella Joy is lovely.

But, why do you ask for opinions and then report people for giving them? I dont agree with her but she's only giving her opinion, like you asked for. if you only want the opinions of people who agree with you, maybe you should specify that. your answers are often harsh to other people.

  • Well, it's still has two middle names... Which will still make it "too big". What about Rosa Love...

Maybe save mama's name for the next baby. Maybe name her Joyce Lynn. Lovella Joy is very cute.

Lovella is neat but I would never use it. Rose and Lynn are so boring and dull. I hear those names way too often.

But hey, it's your baby, so name it whatever you want!
