Can a Scottish Terrier kill a Wolf?

Well, it's really controversial and I'd like to end it now and see who is the victor.

Maybe if he gets a good hold on the wolf throat. Scottie can place 500lb of pressure down on their bites. Their jaws are similar to a steel trap. I have never been bitten by a scottie(hopefully never will!!) but have seen them bite other others...very painful & down to the bone. I would rather be bitten by any large dog than a scottie. Plus it is really hard to get them to let go once they have a good hold.

The Wolf won. I swear. No kidding. The victor is the Wolf. The Scottish Terrier is gone. But! If you had asked if a Dachshund could kill a Wolf I'd say yes. Sneaky little buggers. Go for the throat. Yep, the Dachshund would win.

Well, it's depending on the size of the wolf and the terrier. if the wolf is big and the terrier is small terrier loses but if the their the same size well there could be a 50 50 chance that the terrier would win

No, a scottish terrier has many disadvantages against one of the most powerful dogs in the dog family. the wolf would defiantly win.

Not unless the wolf just lies back and lets the Scottish terrier do its thing!

As much as I'd love to say the Scot would come out on top, I think I'd give the battle to the wolf. Scotties were bred to be very tenacious and take on vicious prey like badgers and foxes, but the wolf is much larger. I will say the Scottie would probably live up to its nickname "Diehard" and fight to the death. Scotties don't tend to give up.

It's not controversial at all. A wolf is going to be in a superior position both in physical attributes and instinctive knowledge over a domesticated, small canine. Scotty loses.

wolf may have superior size and strength, but scottie is small and more maneuverable. wolf has more fighting experience, but hunting and fighting skills are bred into the ancient scottie breed. Therefore either has a chance of winning. BUT...the scottie has one added advantage in his size...one bite and the wolf would choak.
