What do you think of the TV Show Friends? Do you think it was more popular than Seinfeld?

Friends wasn't one of my favorites, but it was very popular. NBC still hasn't gotten over losing it on their schedule in 2004.

In the late 90s, when their runs overlapped, Seinfeld consistently got higher ratings than Friends. Seinfeld had its highest ratings during its last season; that speaks volumes about its popularity. Plus, despite going off primetime a full six seasons before Friends, Seinfeld seems to enjoy a more-widespread prevalence in the syndicated market. Seinfeld just seems more popular-just my opinion, though.

While both shows are good and were very popular, Seinfeld was much funnier. It was a refreshment from the usual love dramas on other sitcoms, like Friends. Seinfeld > Friends.

Seinfeld!

I like Friends okay but it's gets old after a while. Seinfeld NEVER gets old. It's a complete classic. It's so hilarious. I'm literally obsessed with it. And yes, I think it was more popular than Friends. Probably a lot more. It seemed to appeal to people more. It will definitely go down as one of the greatest shows of all-time! :)

I personally like Seinfeld more. I think at time it was airing, Seinfeld was more popular. But i think Friends is more popular today.

I prefer Seinfeld more. Each person has different type of humor that the shows they watch they can relate to is how I view it.

Friends. Because that show had not 4 but 6 main characters. And no character overshadowed the other. I love Friends. More than Seinfeld. And I say this being a fan of both shows.

More popular? Perhaps.

But being more popular doesn't always make the show better. Plenty of awesome shows were cancelled due to ratings. Freaks and Geeks, Ed, Arrested Development

Seinfeld was more popular in its heyday, Friends is more popular now. I'll admit, when Friends was on in new episodes, I didn't really watch it all that much. Now, I watch it whenever it's on.
