I visited a new dentist today, will you answer my somewhat unusual question about your dentist?
Do you prefer that your dentist dress professionally or in scrubs?
-I am assuming many will say they don't care so much what they are
wearing, rather how good of a dentist they are.
- I will give an explanation for this question it is closed!

You don't really need to be in scrubs to do dental work. I prefer my dentist to look professional. For some things like surgical dentistry, certain orthodontists, or any environment where cleanliness is a factor, scrubs should be worn instead.

I didn't think I cared (I've only had dentists that dressed in scrubs and I didn't even think about it - they scare me no matter what) but last week I had my first root canal and I was freaked out (they had to hold me down for novocaine - no it wasn't that bad but i'm a wimp) and i was much more relaxed when the endodontist (root canal specialist) was dressed in business casual instead of scrubs like in a surgery, etc. Now I've decided I definitely want my dentists to dress professionally.
This is a very strange question... :)

I would prefer my dentist in normal clothes with a white lab coat on.

I want them to be clean with no evidence of any bodily fluids on them. It would probably be easier to do so if they wear a lab coat over their own clothes. It should be changed if it gets dirty. I also want a good dentist.

I like my female dentist to be in Bikinis and my male dentist in Speedos......

I prefer them in normal clothes, like a business shirt. I find it less intimidating that way as they look less 'medical'.
