Will dishes dry faster after hot rinse or cold?

I hand wash my dishes and I am wondering whether or not the temperature of the water used for rinsing the dishes makes a difference in the drying time if the dishes are left to air dry and if so why? Does anyone know the answer to this? Also does the termperature of the room make a difference? Thank you PS if I put this in the wrong catagory, please forgive me.

Don't be so worried about the time it takes the dishes to dry. Always use hot water to wash and rinse the dishes. Hot water is a sanitizer and that's the most important part of washing and rinsing you dishes.

So the rule of thumb is always rinse your dishes with hot water so they get sanitized. Another perk is they dry faster.

When an inspector goes to a restaurant that's one of the first things they check. Is the water hot enough to sanitize the dishes. You either get fined or are told to turn up the temperature of the water.

If you rinse in hot water the dishes will dry faster.

I do many of the cooking and dish washing and that i exploit chilly water to rinse because warm water value funds and isn't any longer needed for the activity. each and every now and then I air dry and infrequently I dry with a towel. My spouse continually tells me that I might want to apply warm water and that i tell her she is loose to take the activity over if she desires, i do not listen properly.

Room air temperature makes more difference than water temperature, because the plates will cool or warm to close to room temperature in a short time. Warmer dries water faster than cooler.

it would probably be faster to dry after hot rinse only because the water will evaporate faster...and of course if the rm temp is high then they will dry faster then if it were cold
