What's the difference between "new year" and "lunar new year"?

I can't tell the difference between a new year and a new lunar year.

    First new moon day of a year is the Lunar new year mostly followed by Chinese on there 12 year based calender cycle,.

    Islamic calender also follows lunar and many more culture brought moon calender on there systems too.here i list who some 5 traditions who celebrate moon new year.

    1.Chinese.

    2.Islam.(3rd day of moon)

    3.Tamil.(poornima)

    4.Egyptians(moon god).

    5.Sindhi and Gujarati.(vishu)

    New year is common for everyone we have known 15 types of new year.

    1.Chinese.

    2.Muslim.

    3.Vietnamese.

    4.Japanese.

    7.Jewish.

    9.Sindhi.
