Can you put songs from windows media player onto iTunes?

I want to put my songs on windows media player onto my iTunes so I can put them onto my iPod. I'm not sure how to do that; I'm not even sure if it's possible. I tried using this old CD with a couple of pictures on it, but it said that the CD had to be blank. I have no blank CD's, and it wouldn't let me delete the pictures off of the CD.

Can you help me out?

Thanks! =)

I'll award 10 points!

I asked the same question and I got a bunch of answers. However, I still haven't figured out how to move it yet. Here are the Answers that I got though.

    1) Go to Itunes ,

Click file, then click Import, and

    look under Downloads or Music,

and type the song nameor scroll down and click the songs name till found, then press Open! and wala! its on itunes!

then to find the song, u go to music then in the search bar search the song name and it should appear

    2) You open i-tunes, click on file, then import file or import folder. It will bring up a list of your folders, choose the music files or folder you wish to import and click on them. I-tunes will convert them from wma format to aac format and add them to your library.

    3) I've done this before. But its been a while.

I'm pretty sure you can just drag them from windows media player to your iTunes library

    4) You have to take the songs directly and put them into iTunes.

    1. Find where the music is located (possibly in your "Music" folder)

    2. Open iTunes

    3. Go to File > Add Folder to Library...

    4. Browse for yoru music

    5. Click Ok and you're all set

    5) make itunes your default player for the file type you downloaded. Then when you double click those files they should open in itunes.

Otherwise burn a CD and then rip them off the CD (import them) to itunes

    6) i think that you just put SYN and it downloads everything in your windows.

    7) you could drag the songs u want from media player to itunes, and if that doesnt work, u can find out the song's location and open up the location and drag the song into itunes

I hope this helped, if you figure out how to move them, please let me know. :) My e-mail address is marasports23@yahoo.com

It is possibly, and no you do not need any CD's unless you are trying to put song's from the CD's onto your iPod, what I use is lime wire, a lot of people say that it is 100% illegal but it isn't it is only illegal if you download copyrighted songs. All i do is i download song's from lime wire and then i go to windows media player or i go to My Music folder and i put all of the music that i have downloaded and all of the song's i want to put on my iPod in a folder named iPod song's and then i go to iTunes and click File then go down to Add Folder to Library and i find the folder that i have all of my song's in and it will put my song's on my iTunes then i sync my iPod and all of the song's i had will go onto my iPod.

    Hopes this helps,
