cutting guinea pig nails?
how would you go about cutting their nails? she squirms and wiggles too much when we try. usually one of us holds her and the other tries to cut, but she bites too
any ideas?

Sometimes it is easier to do with the pig upright rather than turned over. We just sit them on a towel on a hard surface (in our case, the top of the wide back of an overstuffed chair). Ours are used to it and it is a one person job but you might want to have one person control the head while the other gently pulls the foot slightly away from the body and clips the nail avoiding the quick. They tend to be much less freaked out when they have all four feet on the ground.
You might want to have a little container of corn starch handy in case you miss and go too deep.

you could go to a vet, or wrap it in a towel and only let one foot stick out (then cut it, and then do it to another one)
or if you let it run on a hard surface rock brick etc. it should wear the nails down
or place a brick in it's cage so it wears the nails down
