    1,6-dihidroxi n-hexano 1,6 di hidroxi te da la posición de los grupos oxidrilos en la cadena carbonada y n-hexano significa que es un alcano lineal, n es lineal.

    O bien lo podes nombrar como un diol o sea un alcohol con dos grupos OH sería :1,6 hexano diol.
