1)I dont think Floyd would chase this fight very much.He took the fight with Hatton as he knew that hes just an all heart boxer but with very limited boxing ability and was tailor made for him. However,Manny has exceptional ability with superb stamina, and would pose in my opinion a big risk to Mayweather.
2)Money ways and interest generated would be absolutely huge and would really cause massive hype from all corners.

a) Mayweather b) No. I do not understand how he ducked him when he already faced tougher competition. He even beat Mosely who just beat Margartio so why would he have ducked a margarito back then only to face a stronger Mosely in the future. If people will say Mayweather ducked Margarito, then Pacquiao ducked Berto, Ortiz, Madaina, Valero and the other guys in the 140 divsion. c) Of course having Margarito on his resume wouldnt hurt. But he's already fought notable competitions. We cant expect a guy who fights less than 3 times a year to beat up ALL the welters out there. d) No. He simply just didnt care about Margarito at all. e) It wasnt smart nor was it stupid. I just see it as an alternative. The fight didn't materialize because there were also other fights for him out there that would have offered the same prestige or payday. f) He wouldve outboxed and outclassed him all night. No doubt g) Well Margarito was on a role. He was winning fights but even so, even Hatton who was UNDEFEATED, when Floyd beat him, he still took a lot of heat from haters. No matter who he fights, he'll still hear it from his haters.

actually pacquiao can fight floyd even without the hatton fight. however, pacmans camp feels they need this fight to really test the division before facing floyd. plus the hatton fight provides a huge payday for pacman for the year. if they immediately fight floyd no one will be interested in seeing manny fight hatton.
its a good decision for pacman technically and financialy.
with respect to the second question, no doubt it will be a big fight as it will be the first (i think?) that two p4p champions will be pitted against one another. as for fight of the year or decade, i dont wanna count on it as mayweather is not the type of boxer who will mix it up especially with pacmans reputation of knocking his opponents senseless. floyd has a tendency to make dance recitals during a boxing match.
however, i believe this fights matter more to floyd than manny. manny has nothing to lose in this fight. he has every excuse in the book that could be thrown at him, he is the smaller fighter in every aspect come the tale of the tape (much like the dela hoya bout), even if pacman is the current p4p king many still believes floyd is the top dog. so to the eyes of many pac is still number two. floyd also has to stake his zero loss record in this fight and finally floyd cant allow a former flyweight champion beat him. it is also a must for floyd to knock pac out as he is the bigger fighter. the odds are stacked in favor of floyd but pacman has nothing to lose. so it is a must win for floyd. it will be a great fight.

Pacquiao WILL beat Hatton and Mayweather will have no choice but to return to the ring and fight Pacquiao.

Yes he should fight Mayweather. They are both called the p4p king and the fight could easily be a superfight with millions for all. It would also help cement someone's legacy. But honestly Mayweather is retired and you all need to stop talking about his unannounced and highly unlikely comeback. Men who want to take breaks from boxing don't announce their retirement. Mayweather is retired and is not coming back. I would prefer to talk about ACTIVE fighters instead. But if by a miracle he did comeback yes I would love to see this fight and it would make the most sense.

1. If Pacquiao beats Hatton, he should face Mayweather.
2. In terms of action, not that big. In terms of money, not as well as De la Hoya vs Mayweather.
