How do we learn our own name?

Like we learn other peoples names by them saying their name is whatever i dont know hannah or amy or something

but how do we actualy learn our own name and know that it is actualy the what our parents called us?

    Because as babies when your name was called and you responded to it your parents got excited and happy-you saw that and understood when you heard that word it would make them happy for you to respond so it became ingrained in you from birth.Same as training a dog the word has no meaning unless it is followed by a positive response from the one saying it or a treat or cookie.

    Most likely through repetition. Just like how we would learn others names. You repeat it in your head until it stays with you.

    like a dog knows how to learn it's own name, ITS not that hard- you're called it enough times you start to know what your name is.

    well when we are young our parents choose our names, and so every time they are talking to us/asking us something then they use our name and they look at us, we soon earn that this is our name, and that when it is mentioned, they are talking to us. xxx
