It's because of its sluggishness.
Water takes a long time to heat up but then you get the benefit of it taking a long time to cool down.
This is why oceans are made of it. Helps keep the planet's temperatures relatively stable.
It's a good idea.

If water had a lower specific heat you would need to pump more of it through the radiator [at the same temperature change] to move the same amount of heat.

If we assume the bikes are traveling towards each other, they will meet in one hour. Since the bee flies at 30 km/hr, it will travel 30 km in the one hour it takes the bikes to meet.
