We each must define the necessity for the clubs in our bags.....I have until recently carried a 3 wood......Since changed to a 15 degree Hybrid. I alway found it a valid choice on tight narrow par 4's and 5's. Todays newer courses seem to be more wide open and use length as their control. I would think that a 15 or 16 degree would work for you in conjunction with a 5 wd. A 17 degree is just too close to the loft on most 5 wds to really be of any help.

It depends on your needs. i carry a 15 degree 3 wood and a 2 iron hybrid which if your 115 mph should fill all of your gaps. that means you should be hitting a 3 iron 210 + i would think so the 2 iron hybrid should get 225 or better and 3 wood 230- 250 depending on contact of course. Go to a range and try out all combinations of lofts in 3 &5woods and hybrids you'll find out what you need there . Hope this helps

I'll go along with Chunks answer on this one. With your swing speed keep the three wood and go with a two iron replacement to cover your yardage gaps and try before you by to make sure you have the distances covered.

it is a personal choice like cadilac or linclon, blonde or brunette,. Make sure the club look good to your eye first if they dont you will never gain confidence. It is depends on your need.
