Anyone from Humacao, Puerto Rico?
I'm looking for a recipe from humacao called granitos. Can't find ANYWHERE online. Can you help me get the recipe?
Granitos and almojabanas are two different and distinct frituras. Almojabanas uses a mixture of rice flour & cheese. Granitos actually uses the grains of cooked white rice and then is not mixed with cheese but stuffed with cheese. PLEASE if anyone knows the exact GRANITOS recipe.....help me! I am not looking for any other recipe. I will not give up until I find the recipe. This has happened to me before, such as with macabeos, guichis, and mata hambre. It took me FOREVER to find these recipes, it was like a super difficult scavenger hunt, which should not be for Puerto Rican recipes, but they were found. Now I'm on a mission to find the GRANITOS recipe. Thank you in advance.

They are also know by Almojabanas or Ricemeal Buns. Try to use good cheese, you can do them with white or yellow cheddar cheese, but better with Queso de Bola...

i might say, pass to Rincon, there is appropriate seashores in there, plus you're approximately 45min from Cabo Rojo, this is a would desire to-see, the sea coast at Cabo Rojo's Lighthouse is named "Playa Sucia", now it quite is a sea coast, crystal sparkling water, white sand, its no longer so crowded on account that its a organic sanctuary, undeniable user-friendly is breathtaking.
