The console is the same. Both will work with Wii Fit, just if you want extra controllers, the "Friends Bundle" justs adds them, you can buy them seperately later if you want. It somes with one remote and one nunchuck. It looks like the Friends bundle is a rip off. It already comes with Wii Sports, so the only things your getting extra is the extra remote and nunchuck ($45 and $20-25 respectively)

There's only 1 version of the Wii. All Wii's work with Wii Fit
The friends bundle just comes with extra Wiimotes

well the wii itself comes with one remote and one nunchuck. but the wii friends bundle has two remotes and two nunchucks. so it depends on how many people you are going to be having over.
