If you go into a good cigar shop talking with the clerk would be a good start. Also you will want to try a mild or light wrapper cigar. Be sure to have a full stomach before you fire up your cigar. If your looking for a good decent price cigar, montiecristos are good, as are romeo y juliettas. Don't listen to the other stick up girls that answered your question, they have no flippin clue what they are talking about. You could also start smoking a pipe to, as premium pipe tobacco is another one of life's pleasures. I myself smoke a pipe, but do enjoy a good cigar every once and a while. Just remember, cigars are not meant to be inhaled.

Gypsy stereotypes. Please notice that many of these stereotypes contradict each other. We all: 1) steal and are con artists 2) are dirty 3) live in horse-drawn wagons in caravans 4) curse everyone and a GYPSY curse always works 5) steal babies to put in our stew-pots or sell to carnivals 6) are all inbred 7) read the Tarot, read palms, tell fortunes, etc. 8) play the violin and/or tamborine 9) are all happy-go-lucky hippies 10) live on the dole and are too lazy to work 11) do not even exist 12) look alike 13) dress in flashy, trashy "Gypsylike" clothes... I am certain you have seen the like. 14) are all psychic. 15) live in trashy mobile homes or the like. I am certain I am missing some. The truth: Some Rromani still live a semi nomadic lifestyle, most do not. The nomadic lifestyle is very traditional and is not followed much anymore. We live wherever and however we wish. I live in a nice home from the 1870's, for example. Some prefer to dress more traditionally and, no, traditional dress is NOT what most people associate with "Gypsy" but it would be considered exotic. Most of us dress like everyone else. Some Rromani read the Tarot, tell fortunes, or whatnot. Most do not. Gadje (non-Rromani) read Tarot and whatnot as well. Unfortunately, many of the Gadje say they are "Gypsy" to ride on the Gypsy reputation. You cannot just up and decide one day that "I'm a free spirit, now I am a Gypsy". Wrong. It is genetic. If you are not born a Rromani (or any of the other ethnicities under the umbrella term "Gypsy") you are not going to be one. The biggie: Gypsies are all theives and con artists. Wrong. There is no higher instance of our theivery than Gadje theivery. If all of the crime attributed to us was actually PERPETRATED by us it would outnumber the actual adult and teenage Rromani population! There is much higher Rromani theivery in some European nations where Rromani are DENIED education and jobs. In America it is completely false. Toss those stereotypes in the trash where they belong. For that matter, take ALL stereotypes about ALL races, ethnicities, and peoples, and toss ALL of them in the trash... where they belong. ALL races, ethnicities, and people have them. Discard all of that tripe and LEARN about the culture and/or people.

A cheap flavored cigar that I like is the Havana Sweets: Irish Cream
another one I like is The Macanudo Maduro
Otherwise, just go talk to a employee at a cigar shop.....if a shop is specifically for cigars the employees are usually knowledgable
Also, a cigar once in a while will have no affect on your health or appearnce at all......don't inhale, inhale cigarettes.....don't smoke cigarettes

You should re-post this in the wine/spirits category, you'll get useful answers there. People here don't know anything about cigars.

This is one of my favorite sayings: One cigar is worth 100 cigarettes in one day, meaning if you smoke ONE cigar in ONE DAY, that is the equivalent of smoking 100 cigarettes in one day. Another one of my sayings is: Each cigarette you smoke is 11 seconds off your life. So here's my answer: NO. But it's your choice. Why do you like smoking? Because it turns you teeth yellow, gives you bad breath? Well anyway, go ahead. I wouldn't even THINK about smoking ONE cigarette in ym whole life. But it's your life your wasting, not mine. Go right ahead. Sorry you died earlier than the rest of us.

If you start you're going to get addicted. And most cigars can be very expensive. Time and money waster. Your just asking to kill yourself. Any form if smoking is gross...
