What to send in 500lbs that get flown overseas!?
We are PCSing overseas and they pick up 500 lbs of items tomorrow. It is the basics to live off of until our household goods get there. What should I make sure to send. What did you send when you went through it. So far I have an air mattress, pillows and sheets for the air mattress. One small TV, a dvd player. toilet paper, cups, bowls, paper plates, silverware, towels, bar of soap!!!
Any ideas would be so helpful!

This is not the entire house. It is ONLY 500 lbs that get flown over so that we have some things to use until ALL of our household goods arrive there. The rest of the house doesnt get packed up and shipped over for another month.

well kitchen items, pots pans and you dont need soap or toilet paper as you can buy it there. Your housing will have a bed, bring things a home needs. The PX will provide alot of things you need also. I would bring my kitchen items and my tv and dvds and computer ect. Your housing withh be furnished mine was. Where are you going im in germany. Basiclly bring clothes kitchen items! as they wont be provided. We had a lending closet though where you could get those things.

Furniture will be provide upon request for a temporary basis. I would pack toaster, coffee maker, iron, and ironing board,hangers, movies,uniforms, clothes, pots and pans, fold up chairs (kind that you use for cookouts), trash cans, and radio.
