How can I get rid of a bunch of mismatch LEGO pieces?

Over the years I have built many LEGOs but the sets have fallen apart and now the pieces are lying around in boxes. How can I dispose of these pieces? Is there a special LEGO recycling program or something?

You could donate them to a local charity. If you get the receipt you can deduct it from your taxes.

You can also donate them to a local school. Times are tough, education budgets are being cut and they always can use new toys.

Just because these were "sets" and may not look right to you when mixed together doesn't mean they won't be inspirational to a kid. They've got great imaginations and would love these Legos.

www.BrickRecycler.com accepts mixed up pieces, and even can pay for postage if you want. They put to great use bulk boxes of used LEGO brand bricks and figures (that are in good shape). Don't dump them, or donate them to organizations that don't deal in mixed up pieces. Inspire generations to come!

Call your United Way to find a good child Day Care Center that could make good usage of these.
