Why is it that so many people can't separate Love from Sex?

Love is a concoction that people have made up to mask the ugly truth about the real reasons why human beings seek companionship.

The only reason people get together in the first place is sex, physical attraction. A need. Selfish need that is. And they stay together because it's easier to survive the world with a partner. Self survival strategy, like an animal.

Where are all these people that want to give LOVE and expect nothing in return?

Sex is definately a part of love but no where near the most important part.

I would say that communication is the most important part.

In real life a relationship could survive without sex but not without communication.

Your right though. Many people here have sincere questions and then so many answer with very crude, sexually orientated answers.

A woman's body is made for the man's body and vice versa. We both connect at all the different kinds of levels with each other. We connect mentally, physically, emotionally, etc, etc and so on. There is no limit, as to how far we can connect to each other. We melt into each other arms and become this one beautiful butterfly. Love, sex and happiness ideally should be all together, but sometimes they can separate from each other and that can create lots of problems into the man and woman relationships.

The reason for it is because from the first century on Christian Theologians like the act of procreation with love. Also the said that sex was only for procreation purposes because people thought more of sex that of God (just like today). So we are raised in a society where we are taught so!

Sex involves little of no attachment/commitments, as opposed to love, which require some kind of attachment/commitment.

Men can have sex without any emotional attachment, where as women easily get attached to men that they have sex with and think that is love. Maybe it has to do with the nature of men and woman...

I think it is because of our language around the subject. People say.."Do you want to make love," when they are really saying "do you want to have sex." Because of our language, the messages concerning the two ideas get intermixed. I believe that because historically sex and talking about sex was taboo, the descriptors such as sleeping together and making love have blurred the line.

Things would be much clearer if we would separate the meanings of sleeping, love and sex.

We as humans have an innate craving for sexual satisfaction. We were made this way so we would not die out as a race. When you have sex with someone you automatically associate that intense chemical reaction with another intense chemical reaction... the one you get from falling in love.

We were created with love and sex to be a sacred union between a husband and a wife.

To me, sex is part of love.

Because Man=Sex, and if you love Man then you have to love Sex! Man without sex is like a turtle without a shell!
