To all the people working with the public?

What is the one thing customers say over and over (and think they are sooo original) to you, that drives you nuts??

Mine was while working as a teller years ago, I would get the same comedian day after day! A customer (usually men), would come to my window and I'd say, "how can I help you" Their original reply, "I need some money, do you have any??? Ha-ha-ha-ha!

Do you have a story??

I was in-charge of counter cashiers and their problems are mine. As public, there are thousand types and so the cashiers must be multi-task to answer & serve them well to satisfy them. Will people be satisfied?

The gap is wide and the headache is always there. "Please remember we are always right as a customer". Is this a demand or a right? Oh!!Ho!!

I work at M&S in the UK, We just started charging for grocery bags. Everyone makes a big deal out of it, either insisting that its a bad idea or saying how good it is. "5 pence for a bag, thats an outrage, im not paying that so I can line the pockets of your company!" thats one of the top ones. Ask anyone who works on the sales floor anywhere in the country. They will tell you the same thing. Im so used to hearing it, people seem to say the exact same stuff, word for word. It drives me to the brink of insanity because they seem to think they are the only person who has said this to me, when in fact it is every other person.

Yeah, I have heard some corny stuff, but I'd take the cliche and corny over the miserable, rude, and impatient anyday!

But, just to keep it fun, I hate when something won't scan or doesn't have a price tag and then the customer says,"Ohh, it must be free!" They are mostly playing, but I think some really do think they are getting it free. Not gonna happen!
