ear piercings....question!?

This is just my experience, but I figured it might help. I'm allergic to cheap metals. If I wear ANYTHING other than solid gold or surgical steel, I itch. I can't wear any jewelry from Claires or anything because I break out and the same holds true for piercings. When I got my ears pierced, I waited until they healed and gauged them into 18g barbells. I didn't itch, they looked like normal ear rings, and I was happy. Other people would ask me where I got them and I'd have to explain. 18g is just a little bit bigger, and it's something you can try if you still itch.And I hate the back of normal earrings.

Your ears need time to heal, which could take a few months. The cleaning solution and the cold winter (if you're in a cool area) may cause dryness. Watch for redness and burning. If your ears become so itchy that you can't handle it, talk to a professional. Either your piercer, or a doctor.

oh yesyesss it happened to me right this moment i became like taking part in Squash and oh expensive after i ended my ears have been like burning so i went to my dorm and that i took a shower and now i've got self assurance extra valuable x :D long tale i be conscious of ! X

i have a couple of ear piercings myself and some have got a bit itchy too, id say yes clean them or spray with the ear antiseptic stuff.

other wise try changing the jewellery, maybe ur ears dont heal well with surgical steel (if thats wat u have in), try switching to gold or sterling silver if u can, that helped mine a bit.

just be sure you're washing the piercings with non-scented antibacterial soap and get all the soap out, as well and a saltwater rinse. and don't touch your piercings!
